ENGILISH AFTERNOON
TEA PARTIES
* For the classic English Afternoon tea meal, consider three courses. First, serve finger sandwiches of your choice. Three to six small servings Next Scones or crumpets with jam, butter and or cltted cream or creme fraiche,  followed by sweets such as petit fours, mini tarts, small cookies or bite sized pieces of cake.

# American afternoon tea coould include a selection of your favorite hors d'ouvres from mini quiche to pigs-in-the-blanket to peanut butter and jelly finger sandwiches fo young children.  Instead of scones consider biscuits and butter or homemade jams. Sweets could be chocolate truffles and fabulous little pastries like cherry tarts, bite size is always the criterion not only for delicacy of appearance but more importantly, for their ease in eating..

Tea Suggestions
There are black tes, blends, and some classic scented ones, and choices of even these are amazing. You should only offer two types.  Consider the flavors of the foods you will be serving and what you think will taste best with them.  There are some basic teas like a full bodied Assam black, crisp Ceylon black and a sturdy English or Irish blend.  Each can stand alone of you can add milk if desired.
